Scott Penrose

Scott Penrose is a perl hacker with an interest in home automation. He has been playing with electronics since he was old enough to burn his fingers with a soldering iron.

Have been writing lots of code for the Teensy 3.1 in the last few months. Mostly it is just an Arduino. But it is really an ARM and very fast (72Mhz). This means we have lots more power, heaps more program memory and RAM and much faster CPU. This generally is all an advantage, except that many of the Arduino Libraries are written using delays or even no delays. Hardware that works perfectly on an Arduino AVR (e.g. Temperature & Humidity sensors) that generate a clock pulse, or have to wait specific time (emulate serial speed) fail.

Many of these are just example code, time permitting should be made into libraries. Also many of these are not Teensy specific, but have not been tested on other Arduino as they are often memory and CPU hungry.
